R. D. stands for Race Department. So per definition this ski is for expert skiers and professional riders only. Follows FIS regulations for GS.

Excellent club and instructor level race skis, they are prepared and finished in the race department with a solid sandwich construction and fine overall quality. On snow they are full of life, dynamic into the turn and offer lots of bite with reassuring initial grip for you to accelerate down the fall-line. Although not the out-and-out thoroughbred race skis they offer great performance to the FIS 100pt level but they don’‘t offer the experienced Giant-slalom-skier hand the ultimate weapon for attacking the hardest snow and the fastest clocks. This is a benefit to most as they can take advantage of the tolerance that the Head RS GS offers and also the fact that you can really stretch your skiing boundaries without worrying about solely remaining balanced and upright upon them.
